About Us
The Directorate: Provincial and SOEs Performance Monitoring (D:PSPM) under the Chief Directorate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) within the Branch: Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PPME) was established to oversee the processes of monitoring and reporting between DAFF and Provincial Departments of Agriculture (PDAs) and Public Entities (PEs) reporting to the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
Our Mandate
The mandate of the directorate is to ensure that there are proper processes and systems in place to manage non-financial performance information of PDAs and PEs and thus hold them accountable.
Key functions:
Facilitate the development and support implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and guidelines for PDA’s and PE’s
Monitor and evaluate performance of PDAs through standardised performance indicators and PEs through the approved Strategic objectives aligned to the establishing Acts of the entities
Facilitate the establishment of monitoring and evaluation capacity building within PDAs and PEs
Establish systems and processes to manage performance information of PDAs and PEs
